Thanks Chad, If only I could find a way for the Arduino to do all of my house projects, but I might need an ARM for that :D Do you have any good info on building a moisture sensor and controlling a water valve? That'd solve your plant issue ;)

It is absolutely so easy to get into projects and the time flies like crazy. The LED project isn't one that would be really visual, it's more of an indicator system so it's not going to do anything super snazzy.

Mr. Mace just got back to me with a bit bang version of his *Brite script so I can use the Ethernet on the Arduino's hardware SPI.

I've also been very tempted to buy another Arduino to use as a system controller and data logger interface for the CVL mentioned above. Controlling the laser and seeing graphs and such on a PHP/JAVA type app would be most excellent!

Can relate to dropping everything and slipping into make-mode at the expense of all else in life. How many plants have to die?!? OH, and my family needs occasional appearances to remember me. I shaved my beard last night and they looked at me like I'm an alien.

DARN you Arduino!!!
